Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Defending the word of God is like defending a roaring lion. It moves freely and boldly into every heart. The word does not need my protection, it is alive and powerful. Like the ark of the convenant it needs no human intervention. Needs none of my expertise to keep it relevant to culture. It devours the spirits of the age and stands the test of time. You do not need to add or take away from the Bible. The Living word stands tall over all religion and philosophy. Lord, all I need to do is to be ready in season and out of season. I need to be able to rebuke, correct and encourage through the lion of your word inside me. I defend the Gospel the best when I share the testimony of how you saved me. I defend the Gospel the best when I take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them through your word. If I am ridiculed for the name of Christ, I am are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on me. I do not want to suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or a meddler. But if I should suffer as a “Christian,” I will not be ashamed but will glorify God in having that name. The lion of the tribe of Judah roams the earth looking to whom He may show Himself strong. Jesus I will trust in you and I have no doubt the powerful jaws of your word to capture mens hearts. I am your little lamb, lead me to where you want me to share my testimony, my life.
