Choose to Let Good Win

Good morning Brothers, Happy Sunday! Thank God for waking you up to the start of another week. God loves you. I love you. Take a moment to pray for someone, God will hear and answer your prayers. Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.(1 Corinthians‬ ‭16‬:‭13‬). Let’s sing, O love of God, how strong and true! Eternal, and yet ever new; Uncomprehended and unbought, Beyond all knowledge and all thought. O love of God, how deep and great, Far deeper than man's deepest hate; Self-fed, self-kindled like the light, Changeless, eternal, infinite. Today’s verse is from Romans 12:21. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Our natural inclination is to seek revenge, rejoice in someone's downfall, or boast in our own strength. But as believers we are to live out the transformative power of Christ by responding to evil with love, kindness, and forgiveness. These are the true tools for victory. This battle can play itself out in many different ways. A child testing the limits of obedience, a student facing the temptation to take short cuts or cheat on assignments or an employee wrestling with how much effort they must put into their job. Overcoming evil with good often means doing things that seem counterintuitive. You can do this by forgiving someone who wronged you or choosing not to respond in a harsh way to criticism. Today, choose to let good win in the battles you face each day. Choose to overcome evil by living with empathy toward others. God loves you. Have a blessed day.
