Christ Calls You to Be a Light in a Dark World

Good morning Brothers. Happy Friday! God loves you. I love you. It’s the first day in November! Praise God another year is coming to a close. Spend a few moments in prayer today thanking God for his safety throughout this year. Let’s sing, 'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, Just to take Him at His word; Just to rest upon His promise, Just to know, "Thus saith the Lord. Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him; How I've proved Him o'er and o'er! Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus! O for grace to trust Him more! Today we read in 1 John 1:7. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. For many people, this world is a dark place. They feel lost, lonely, helpless. They need somewhere to turn for guidance and hope. Jesus understood that need, so He made provisions to counteract the darkness. He tasked His followers with providing the necessary light for the world. The temptation to hide our light can be intense at times. After all, when you let your light shine, you draw attention to yourself. You invite scrutiny. The risks of being a light bearer are real. But so are the rewards. Your light may be the only source of illumination some people have. By reflecting Jesus' glory and pointing the way to Him, you have the potential to change their lives forever. The closer you get to the source of light, the brighter your own light will shine. God loves you. Have a blessed day.
