Learning to Fight Good Fights

Good morning Brothers. Happy Sunday! God loves you. I love you. Praise God for waking you up to see another week. Take a moment to pray for someone, God will hear and answer your prayers. Let’s sing, Fight the good fight with all thy might, Christ is thy strength and Christ thy right; Lay hold on life and it shall be, Thy joy and crown eternally. Run the straight race through God's good grace; Lift up thine eyes, and seek His face. Life with its path before us lies; Christ is the way, and Christ the prize. Today’s verse is from 1 Timothy 6:12. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. This journey of faith will often be difficult. It will sometimes be messy, hard, and harrowing. Paul's words serve as a reminder that sometimes-faith looks like a fight. However, rather than a fight against people, Fighting often looks like making the right decision even if it's not the easiest decision. It might mean being gentle when we want to be harsh or choosing love when it would be easier to be selfish. This journey of faith is a fight for goodness, beauty, and faithfulness. So how do you remain faithful? When you regularly spend time with Him, you begin to love what God loves, and hate what He hates. Consider what steps you need to take to fight well. Remember you do not fight alone, God is with you. He will empower you with the strength you need to finish your faith journey well. God loves you. Have a blessed day.
