Battle prayer notes 4/21/23

Good morning brother,

Day three topic: Men lead with honor and loyalty. They are faithful even when no one is looking. Honoring others and being a loyal friend. As men of God we are to be friendly and thoughtful to each other. Out doing one another in honoring. Also staying committed to hard work and being dependable. Accountable and trustworthy because they honor and respect people.

Loyalty is relational.  Love the LORD and love your neighbor.

God established his loyalty with us through his covenants and promises.

An idol can be anything that you put above the LORD. It could be people or things.

Even if we fail we can be sure he will be faithful and loyal.

LORD, make us loyal like you.

Honor is something we have great respect for.

God places people above us to lead us. Honor then because God has placed that person there.

Love and honor go together.

Why do we honor the LORD? He sacrificed so much for us. He calls us to live for him.

Anyone that has been honored has made a sacrifice. Those that serve in military deserve respect and honor.

It’s the little things that make start to make us to honor.

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? Are they not the ones who are blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong? If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers.”

‭‭James‬ ‭2‬:‭5‬-‭9‬

Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away. Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37‬:‭1‬-‭7‬ ‭

Read 2 Chronicles 7:14

The wise inherit honor, but fools get only shame.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭35‬ ‭

If your honoring

As your honoring God you will start to honor others

Being willing is a sacrifice.

At the smell of good food we honor you.

Read Prov 3:5. In all our ways. God wants to be involved even in the little things of our lives.

Holy Spirit wants to be partner with us. Sometimes we want God to do everything and God wants to do stuff with us.

Before we even try to get a solution on our own. Pray to God and lean into his presence and guidance.

Honor the Holy Spirit by asking him. Invite the Holy Spirit to lead and partner with us.

Thank you LORD for giving us the Holy Spirit. What a gift to come into our lives!

Holy Spirit lead us. Give us wisdom, truth, direction.

We acknowledge the price that was paid for the gift of Holy Spirit. Give us a fresh revelation of Holy Spirit.

Honor the LORD by seeking his presence first

Honoring is acknowledging the price and worth and value of something.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭

In this season of my life is: if you want God to trust you with BIG things be faithful in the small things.  I have been asking God to help me surrender the small things in my life.

Thanks for sharing.  God has been showing me the same.  Amen

The Trinity is constantly honoring one another.

Jesus is at the Right Hand of the Father.

What value has someone brought into our lives? Honor them for that.

Loyalty not wanting to loss fellowship with Christ because of sin.

Loyalty not wanting to loss fellowship with Christ.

Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens. Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet: all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild, the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! Psalms‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬-‭9‬ ‭

Proverbs 3:5 Do not be wise in your own eyes, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.

David had a thought/plan to go pursue the raiding enemies that stole his wives and children, but he asked God first and God directed his way. We honor Holy Spirit when we ask Him about our thoughts and plans we have before we act on it. Even Jesus did not act on His own, but acknowledged and leaned on God when He prayed in the garden.

Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

God promises for us to live long and things God.  That is the promise with commandment.

"He who pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor." (Proverbs 21:21)

This passage suggests that honor comes from living a life of righteousness and love, rather than pursuing selfish desires.

Overall, Proverbs teaches that honor is not something that can be achieved through external factors like wealth or power, but rather it comes from living a life of wisdom, righteousness, and love.

Be inspired by the story of Hachi, a loyal dog. There is a movie as well. Link:

Remain loyal to the LORD and he will give you a crown of life in the end. Even if we die waiting for Christs return like Hachi the dog did waiting for his Master. So we will wait for you Jesus. You will come again and take us home.

We miss you and need you LORD Jesus. There is no consolation or rest for us until we see you again. Like Hachi we will keep looking unto the hills from where our help comes from. Come LORD Jesus come!

As we grow in relationship with Christ we start to want to keep our hearts pure unspotted from the world. We don’t the LORD to take away Holy Spirit from us.

Thank you for another great day of Zoom Battle Prayer.
