Oh To Be Wise Meditations

With the word of God in my hands. With the word of God in my hands I am being transformed in the image of God. With the word of God in my hand I see only a reflection as in a mirror; but then I see face to face as I grow the knowledge of Christ. For anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at themselves, goes away and immediately forgets what they look like. All of us, then, reflect the glory of the Lord with uncovered faces; and that same glory, coming from the Lord, who is the Spirit, transforms us into his likeness in an ever greater degree of glory. When I look into the ocean waters of Scripture I am looking at the deep blue eyes of Jesus.
