Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Its so easy to want to look ahead. To see the finished product then the beginning with screws and bolts. I feel like that in walk with Christ. We were born into this world without instruction pamphlet's. Our parents raised us the best they knew how, hopefully in the fear of the LORD. But every body is different and are in so many different situations and cultures. This is what I love about the Gospel. The finished product is Jesus. He is the image and standard we are to emulate. He is the Living Word able to relate to the fallen nature of humanity. Christ calls to stay focused on the process knowing that outcome will be soon to follow. Leave to Him to put together the pieces of your life. Leave to Him to make your perfect as our Heavenly Father. The process of sanctification is crucial to our making sense of this life and world. The more we try to figure things out aside from God the more we are left with screws and bolts. Jesus desires for us to know him personally, and through the Scriptures we can be made aware of His Presence. Don't try to figure out the complexities of life on your finite wisdom. Trust in the process of knowing Him who is life eternal, for it is God's will that you should be sanctified. He is working in you to make you willing and able to obey him. Listen to the words of Jesus spoken to Paul as a testimony to Agrippa: To open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those sanctified by faith in Me. Wow amazing! There is an inheritance among those be sanctified by Christ. But it is the finished product that is only received by faith in Him. God has given us a way to make sense of this sinful world, and that is in the Gospel of Jesus. Look to him as at the author and finisher of your faith.
