Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Are you someone that just believes in God or someone that actually believes God at his word. You may surely believe there is only one God. That's fine. Even demons believe this, and it makes them shake with fear. But To believe God at his word is follow the path of righteousness laid before us in Christ. Hear this, “You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD, “and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me. I, yes I, am the LORD, and there is no other Savior. I promised to save you, and I kept my promise. You are my witnesses that no other god did this. I, the LORD, have spoken. Yes, and from ancient days I am he. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?” Oh LORD, My flesh trembles in fear of you; I stand in awe of your laws. Has not your hand made all these things? And so they came into being. This is the one you will esteem: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, who trembles at your word. Its not enough to tremble at your presence. I need tremble at your very word and be obedient to Holy Spirit. So I will work with fear and trembling to discover what it really means to be saved.
