Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! From heaven the LORD looks down to see if anyone is wise enough to search for him. All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one. Won't you evil people learn? You refuse to pray, and you gobble up the LORD's people. There they are in great terror, for God is with the generation of the righteous. The wicked frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the LORD will protect his people. A wicked generation have lofty eyes, and exalt themselves with their eyelids. Yes, some people are stuck-up and act like snobs. My soul is among the lions; I lie down with ravenous beasts--with men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords. Blessed be the LORD, who has not given us as prey to their teeth. Help me LORD Jesus to understand your sustaining love for the world. There is a God who sent his Son Jesus to die for us. Teach to use your word to make sense of this world and not become fools to our own humanism. Jesus you are the Living Word, and the standard for our rational in every circumstance.
