Oh To Be Wise Meditations
The LORD is the Great I AM. His name reflects His self-existence. The Bible has no story of how He came to be. He just is. He does not depend upon anything for His existence. Indeed, everything else depends upon Him. All other God-substitutes are merely the figments of sinful human imagination. Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we exist. And there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we exist.
Without God in our lives we cease to exist. For He is the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in Jesus will live, even after dying. And whoever lives by believing in Him will never die. Do you believe this? Asking God to settle this in our hearts through quiet prayer. Yes LORD, I have always believed you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one who has come into the world from God.
