Oh To Be Wise Meditations
A good steward. Look at the good steward. How they work willingly at whatever they do, as though they were working for the Lord rather than for people. Showing themselves in all respects to be a model of good works, and in their teaching showing integrity, dignity, and wholesome speech that is above reproach, so that anyone who opposes them will be ashamed, having nothing bad to say about them. A good steward is found to be faithful and trustworthy. Not withholding good to those to whom it's due, when it is in there power to do it. Faithful to the very little and faithful in very much, avoiding dishonesty to the very little. As each have received a gift, using it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace. Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything. The good steward has learned to be content and yet give freely as necessary. A generous soul will prosper, and he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. I see a good steward that sows generously and whatever they reap they honor God with it. Appreciating its value right down to the very last drop. There are like Moses who the LORD said is faithful in all my house.
