Oh To be Wise Meditations
There is so much value in fellowship because its about getting Gods presence at different levels. Let me explain. Scripture says, For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.” Of course we can have Gods presence by ourselves but there is a blessing in pursuing Him with others. God has so much for us if we only grow in love and care for one another in the Spirit. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. There is a blessing that we all must seek daily in personal prayer, in corporate worship, and even our small spaces of life. That blessing is the presence of God given in more measure as we pursue Christ. Yes, to be pleasing before Him as you fellowship in the Spirit with others. You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God. For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ. We need fellowship with God in Christ to be able to stand firm until the end. Anyone who loves a fellow believer is living in the light and does not cause others to stumble. But anyone who hates a fellow believer is still living and walking in darkness. Such a person does not know the way to go, having been blinded by the darkness. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth.
