Oh To Be Wise Meditations

So you just got punched in the mouth by sin and evil desire. Consequences and circumstance has brought you to your knees. Everyone has a plan for their life, until they get punched in the face by trials and tribulations. Yes, we are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. In times of trouble, God is with us, and when we are knocked down, we get up again. Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies. Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be evident in our dying bodies. So we live in the face of death, but this has resulted in eternal life for you. In the Scriptures it says, "I spoke because I had faith." We have this same kind of faith. So we speak because we know that God raised the Lord Jesus to life. And just as God raised Jesus, he will also raise us to life. Then he will bring us into his presence together with Him. That is why we never give up. Never give up! Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. So I am willing to endure anything if it will bring salvation and eternal glory in Christ Jesus to those God has chosen.
