Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Spirit of Righteousness fill the streets with your wisdom. Permeate our systems of government like the winds of oxygen blowing in and through us. Let your Holiness raise up a standard and bring real knowledge and thought. Inspire true justice in our land as we pursue the wisdom in the streets, in the alleys, in the crosswalks of our nation. Wisdom shouts in the streets. She cries out in the public square. She calls to the crowds along the main street, to those gathered in front of the city gate: “How long, you simpletons, will you insist on being simpleminded? How long will you mockers relish your mocking? How long will you fools hate knowledge? Come and listen to my counsel. I’ll share my heart with you and make you wise. “I called you so often, but you wouldn’t come. I reached out to you, but you paid no attention. You ignored my advice and rejected the correction I offered. LORD, we need Holy Spirit to spring Righteousness in the land! Fill the dry deserts and dead ground with your living waters. Lizards, they are easy to catch, but they are found even in kings’ palaces. Rain down your Spirit of Righteousness over all nations and may the wind of your Spirit find its way to the hearts of Kings and Leaders. The king’s heart is like a stream of water directed by the LORD; he guides it wherever he pleases. But mightier than the violent raging of the seas, mightier than the breakers on the shore— the LORD above is mightier than these! Rushing Spirit waters flow through the cracks of doors and hallways and fill the hearts of men and woman!
