Oh To Be Wise Meditations

God is a wonderful accountant and some day the books will be opened and the rewards distributed. I trust that our rewards will be great. They will be determined by our attitudes here and now on this earth. We say that God is Father and we know He doesn't have any favorites! He judges all people by what they do. So we must honor God while we live as strangers here on earth. For we know that God paid a ransom to save us from the empty life we inherited from our ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. God chose him as our ransom long before the world began, but now in these last days he has been revealed for our sake. Through Christ we have come to trust in God. And we have placed our faith and hope in God because he raised Christ from the dead and gave him great glory. Let us do good and be rich in good works. Being generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for ourselves as a good foundation for the future, so that we may take hold of that which is truly life. God knows and sees everything. If not one jot or tittle will disappear from his Holy Law, then we can trust nothing will be missed from his holy ledger. Even the simple cup of water that you give in Jesus name is recorded. May the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge, reward you fully for what you have done.
