Oh To Be Wise Meditations
This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Yes, the armor of right living. How can we live in such a dangerous band sinful world without the armor of God? How can we go about our day without being protected with the anointing of God? Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see. Don’t participate in the darkness of wild parties and drunkenness, or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, or in quarreling and jealousy. Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires. Christs Righteousness is available for us daily, a covering of grace and strength to live in this world. It’s like a armor of light over us keeping us in the Light as He is in the Light. So many go out for battle in this world thinking they battle flesh and blood. And they get dominated and destroyed by the world, fleeced of everything they believe in. And then blame God. The enemy and the powers of darkness are real and they want to kill steal and destroy humanity. We must prepare for spiritual battle and allow God in Christ to train our fingers for battle. We need the fresh anointing over us that keeps our armor in tact and strong. We try to battle ourselves and destroy the gift of faith God has given us in the Gospel. The battle is the LORDs daily. He is the victory we walk in. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
