Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Oh filthy rags. Even with the strongest dishwasher there is still dirt on the knife and fork, on the plate and cup. Man's best effort is cleanliness but God's is holiness. God in Christ wants to wash each of us by hand with the power of Holy Spirit in us. Our best works is filthy rags and that is why we need a pure heart that comes only from God. Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one. The LORD will expose our so-called righteousness and good deeds. We need God to keep a clean heart within us so that we can do deeds of faith and not of pride. Purify our hearts LORD daily as we seek you daily for renewal and blessing.
