Oh To Be Wise Meditations
We are all one human race and bleed the same blood. But we are in different in culture and values. We were brought up in different families and education. Amazing how we are born in certain places and for certain times. Some are born into royalty and some into poverty. People are scattered through the Earth all living very different lives from each other depending on religion and duty. A nations wealth and access varies with every country and people. It is very easy to live for this world and lose your soul to it. To want to conquer the world and step on people to do so. The world has its ways and will swallow you in it if you allow. Think about this: From one man God created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and he determined their boundaries. His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. “For it is by him that we have life and we move and exist; so also some of the wise men among you have said: “Our lineage is from him.” Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one. Yet when we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned along with the world. Jesus came into our world system and allowed himself to be succumbed to it. He came through a poor family raised in a godly home. He lived among the human race and no one recognized Him as God. He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit. He call us to do the same, to be in this world but not apart of it. He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. Live a new life hidden in Jesus our LORD.
