Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Think about the times in your life where you walked away free. Others suffered but you didn't. Grace was given to you while judgment fell on others. Both good and bad things happen to everyone. They happen to those who are fair and to those who are wicked. They happen to those who are good and to those who are evil.

They happen to those who sacrifice and to those who do not. The same things happen to a good person

as happen to a sinner. The same things happen to a person who makes promises to God as to one who does not. This is something unfair that happens here on earth. The same things happen to everyone. So men’s minds are full of evil and foolish thoughts while they live. This about this: Jesus walked right on into the failures and faults of have man to bear that fire of judgment. This so we can walk away from death and into life. He stepped in a broken world and allowed death to swallow him. He humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. He was innocent but kept silent. He experienced the judgment of God for our sins. For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous. There will be a day where we all face death. But in Christ we can walk away from eternal death that we justly deserve and walk into the newness of eternal life. Oh the grace of God poured out from the Cross!
