Oh To Be Wise Meditations
It's not hard to make decisions if you know what your values are. We have to have a set of morals we will not cross, boundaries we have in place so that we do not sin against God. Scripture says in Daniel 1:8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. There are things worth defending and honoring God in. Make a stand today not like the world does in protest and anger. But in peace and truth be strong pillar in your community, in your city, and in your nation. When a man's ways please the LORD, He makes even the man's enemies live at peace with him. Say today: I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your law is within my heart. I am not ashamed of the Gospel. For it has the power set people free from sin and death. We are living epistles. Listen to the Apostle Paul starting in 2 Corinthians 3:1 as I close. Are we once again bragging about ourselves? Do we need letters to you or from you to tell others about us? Some people do need letters telling about them. The only letter of recommendation we need is you yourselves. Your lives are a letter written in our hearts; everyone can read it and recognize our good work among you. Clearly, you are a letter from Christ showing the result of our ministry among you. This “letter” is written not with pen and ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is carved not on tablets of stone, but on human hearts.
