Oh To Be Wise Meditations

No fear in love. In love there can be no fear. When you don't surrender parts of your heart to God for fear of how he might punish you, this should be a red flag that you need a perspective shift. If we recognize that we are in Christ and He in us, then we have no fear of future condemnation. We know we have His Spirit within us. His love is expressed perfectly in us, He has given Himself to us. We don’t fear God because we are afraid He might violate His promises and throw us into condemnation. No, we fear God because of His greatness, worthiness, and awesomeness. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. God has united us with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin. As we know Jesus and grow in relationship with Him. We get a reverential fear and honor of Him as He becomes our beginning of knowledge, author and finisher of our faith. Our wisdom for life and our understanding for meaning and purpose comes from Jesus our LORD and Savior.
