Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand. Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm. Surely God is my helper; the Lord is the sustainer of my soul. Oh Jesus, sustain me as You promised, that I may live; let me not be ashamed of my hope. May Your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen Your precepts. The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all. The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked. Evil will slay the wicked, and the haters of the righteous will be condemned. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.
