Oh To Be Wise Meditations
As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.” Is. 66:13
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. Oh Jesus, I think of the tender love of a mother, how she kisses and hugs to soothe her child's heart. I ask you to soothe and touch our hearts as we face trials and temptations. Your love is better than life and brings me beautiful peace. “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! Oh God, you knit me in my mothers womb, how much more can you intimately know me? My very hairs are numbered, I am your child and you are my God, my Father.
