Take a lesson from the Hermit Crab. Learn from their ways and become wise! As a hermit crab grows it has to find a larger shell and abandon the previous one. A hermit crab with a shell that is too small cannot grow as fast as those with well fitting shells. Jesus responded to the disciples while in a storm on a boat, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith! As we grow in relationship with Christ we are start to grow from faith to faith. Its the little things we start to trust God more in and then start to believe in the big things God has for us. From one shell to the next we are being renewed and transformed. So don't be ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then to the Greek. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” From His fullness we have all received grace upon grace. As you move from shell to shell you are growing bigger in faith even through every trial and adversity. Its time we shed the old shell and put on new man in Christ. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Learn from the Hermit Crab. So come out the little shell of your faith that your holding on too, afraid to trust in the unknown but sure Word of God. Yes, move towards a bigger shell and trust in Gods Sovereignty and Power. For our faces are not covered. We live in the Light of Jesus presence. Our faces show the bright glory of the Lord, as the Lord's Spirit makes us more and more like our glorious Lord.
