Proverbs of a 37 yr old man
I see the slithering snake of desire coming near. I want to step on the snake but I am too weak to overcome. Sin's temptation bites down hard and leaves its deadly poison. In order to avoided being bitten by sin I must not provoke the snake of desire but stay submitted to God in relationship. Christ will squash the head of the serpent, allowing me to resist the devil as he flees. Many times I can hear the serpents rattle trying to distract me from Holy Spirit. But I must stayed focused on the One who sits on the throne. Jesus has overcome the world and peace He leaves within us. The snakes may rattle and slither but less and less I hear wicked desires Only the presence of God I hear through the Spirit of Christ renewing my mind and will. His righteous desires are growing within me, The Holy Spirit is helping me overcome evil with good. For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
