Which applications should use screws and which should use nails? The basic theory is simple. Screws are for holding power and nails for shear strength. Where force is placed vertically along the installation, a screw is a better choice, but in situations where the force is placed adjacent to the installation a nail is a better choice. You were dead, because you were sinful and were not God's people. But God let Christ make you alive, when he forgave all our sins. God wiped out the charges that were against us for disobeying the Law of Moses. He took them away and nailed them to the cross. We needed shear strength to overcome sin, Jesus used nails. Humanity is prone to wander, so Jesus gave us full access to the Holy Spirit. Like a screw, Holy Spirit gives us supernatural grip strength to the power of the Cross. Molding and transforming in us a thread that can never be stripped away. Through the love of God the Spirit of Christ is fastening stronger and stronger every day. Jesus bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. The LORD is the great Master Craftsmen, He knows what applications are needed for salvation and eternal life.
