Proverbs of a 37 yr old man
You need iron in the blood. Without enough iron, your body can't produce enough of a substance in red blood cells that enables them to carry oxygen. As a result, iron deficiency will leave you tired and short of breath. There are many other symptoms but I just want to focus on three of them for this proverb. In our journey of life we will grow weak and tired in our faith. Yes, we grow weary in our present bodies as we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing. For we will put on heavenly bodies; we will not be spirits without bodies.
These tents we now live in are like a heavy burden, and we groan. But we don't do this just because we want to leave these bodies that will die. It is because we want to change them for bodies that will never die. God himself has prepared us for this, and as a guarantee he has given us his Holy Spirit. So we are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not at home with the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight. We live by believing and not by seeing. But whether we are at home with the Lord or away from him, we still try our best to please him. After all, Christ will judge each of us for the good or the bad that we do while living in these bodies. So you will need the Iron of Holy Spirit in your blood. If not, you will start to develop cold hands and feet, having no love or works for your neighbor and God. Also you will have poor and sinful appetites, not craving the pure milk of the word. Then there is heart and mind pain that only God can manage and heal. Being cheerful helps when you are sick, but nothing helps when you give up. Who can bear a broken spirit? While there are more symptoms to diagnosis in the spiritual, weakness is what I want to close with. God knows we are frail and weak, so He gave us the gift of Holy Spirit to strengthen our weaknesses and strengths. Let us draw closer to Jesus through relationship and gain strength for today. In Him is the only way to gain iron in the lifeblood of our spirit and will. In what we are iron deficient the Spirit of Christ will provide for now and for eternity. Amen.
