Proverbs of a 37 yr old man

The habit of prayer needs to be settled within us as a regular tendency or practice. One that is hard to give up and has become almost involuntary. Like looking both ways before crossing the street is prayer before you face any trial and situation. You pray because that is your only hope and remedy. And then from this spiritual posture we make decisions, taking steps, being directed by the Living Word. Yes, be devoted to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving. Never giving up in prayer but allowing the peace of God to rule over your heart and mind. We are called by God to make a habit of prayer. Devoting our time to prayer before God rather than worry and labor. More will get accomplished through prayer than through the works of man. The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous. The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are inclined to their cry. Never stop praying, especially for others. Always pray by the power of the Spirit. Stay watching and praying for God's people. Pray that we be accounted worthy to escape all these things that are to come, and to stand before the Son of man.
