Proverbs of a 38 yr old man

What a gift it is to be clothed by Christ. For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. Oh LORD to wear you over my fifthly and dirty rags is too wonderful for me to understand. You have put a ring on my finger and clothed me with your Righteousness. Yes, I put on your Righteousness and it clothes me with justice as my robe and diadem. I hear you say to me go and walk by the Spirit, and not to gratify the desires of my flesh. The world will get jealous and hate me because you have clothed me with your love and faithfulness. Like Joseph with his coat of many colors, many will try to strip away our confidence in Christ. Joseph's brothers felt their father loved him more than the rest of them. They couldn't even say a kind word to him. But God is not a man that he should lie, for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son so that all can become sons and daughters of God. All can be clothed with Christ Jesus our LORD, but few chose to leave behind there life of sin to pursue His Righteousness. Look, The King of Heaven and Earth invites the poor and weary soul to put on the Holy Robe of Christ! Will you take it? Will you clothe yourself in the grace and mercy of God? Oh LORD, May your priests be clothed in godliness; may your loyal servants sing for joy. I remember in scripture where it is says you were stripped and a scarlet robe was placed on you Jesus. This as you were pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. You were beaten so we could be whole. You were whipped so we could be healed. You put on our filthy rags and covered our shame bearing it on the Cross. Giving us your beauty for ashes, your garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. Your Righteous robe over me has the oil of joy instead of mourning.
