Proverbs of a 38 yr old man

The watery grave. All we expected was a watery grave. Up against the Red Sea of sin and death, the pharaoh of this world had us cornered in sorrow and defeat. Guilt and shame were going to drown us in but Jesus opened up the Red Sea of death bringing us eternal life. Yes, He made a way when there seemed to be no way on the Cross. But it was through the Cross that we cross the Red Sea of sin and death and into the promised land of eternal life. Your road led through the sea, your pathway through the mighty waters— a pathway no one knew was there! God raised Jesus from the dead, releasing Him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for Him to be held in its clutches. With loving devotion LORD you will lead the people You have redeemed; with Your strength You will guide them to Your holy dwelling. For you rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up; you lead us through the depths of this life as through a desert. You save us from the hand that hates us; you redeem us from the hand of the enemy. For you have rescued me from death; you have kept my feet from slipping. So now I can walk in your presence, O God, in your life-giving light.
