Proverbs of a 38 yr old man

The Spirit and your desires are enemies of each other. For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are always fighting each other and keeping you from doing what you feel you should for God. There is another power within you that is at war with your mind. This power makes you a slave to the sin that is still within you. So the trouble is not with the law of God, for it is spiritual and good. The trouble is with you, for you are all too human, and a slave to sin. Sinful desires are raging seas within us and we must seek the peace that surpasses all understanding daily, so feel the breeze and blow of the Spirit of Christ flowing in you and through right now. I see Jesus standing at the Right Hand of The Father as He intercedes for his redeemed. Hear Jesus say to you in the midst of your fleshly chaos: “Peace! Be still!” Yes, He calms your storms to a whisper, and the waves of the sea within you are hushed.
