Proverbs of a 38 yr old man

There is a time to love and there is a time to hate. To love means really to care about other people. To hate does not mean to feel a bad emotion towards another person. It means to hate sin. We should hate all bad things and hate all bad actions. And we should try to improve bad situations. ‘Hate what is evil. Love what is good. But there are those who turn justice into bitterness and cast righteousness to the ground. There are those who hate the one who upholds justice in court and detest the one who tells the truth. “Fallen is Virgin Israel, never to rise again, deserted in her own land, with no one to lift her up.” That is the spiritual state of our great nation that is in need of returning back to God and his precepts and his laws. Now this is what the LORD says to the family of Israel: “Come back to me and live! Turn back to the LORD, you descendants of Joseph, and you will live. If you don't, the LORD will attack like fire. Bethel will burn to the ground, and no one can save it. Therefore the prudent keep quiet in such times, for the times are evil. Yes, times are so evil that anyone with good sense will keep quiet. You who love the LORD, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked. And so, keeping quiet in such evil times is the smart thing to do! Do what is good and run from evil so that you may live! Then the LORD God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is. Again, choose good instead of evil! And see that justice is done by turning your courts into true halls of justice. Then maybe the LORD All-Powerful will be kind to what's left of our people after judgment. I do not know about you, but my shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart.
