Proverbs of a 38 yr old man.
Wonderful Tonight. It's late in the evening and I'm planning to go to church. I am wondering what clothes to wear as I put on my cologne and lotion, hoping to honor my God as I come as I am. And then as I comb my hair I ask the LORD do I look alright? I hear Him say to me, "Yes, you look wonderful tonight". I go to church that night and every one turns to see this beautiful Spirit that's within me, the Spirit of Christ who's walking around with me. And I hear the LORD Jesus ask me, "Do you feel all right?" And I say with tears of joy in the Holy Spirit, yes, I feel wonderful tonight! I feel wonderful because I see the love light in your eyes for me on the Cross. And the wonder of it all is that I still just don't realize how much you love me! I want to know you and experience the mighty power that raised you from the dead. I want to suffer with you, sharing in your death, so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead! Well, it's time to go home now and I've got an aching head from a busy but fruitful evening. So I grab my car keys and head home with my family. My wife helps me to bed after giving my son a goodnight blessing. And then in the peace of the night light I tell her, "Wasn't the LORD wonderful tonight"? She kisses my forehead and smiles noddingly goodnight. And then as I turn out the light I hear the LORD say to me, "My darling you were wonderful tonight. "OH, my darling, you were wonderful tonight". Thank you LORD Jesus for letting me come as I am. The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.
