Be the first. Be the first to shine a light and make change for others to follow. Darkness will encroach you more at first, but others will soon follow shining there light with you. It is a shame what evil does in darkness, when no one is looking. But even a brave tiny light can shine enough for others to see that great revival and restoration is needed. And this light only happens in the hearts of men and women because God can make the smallest lights to shine as bright as the heavens. Think about Jesus who Scripture calls Him the first fruits. Yes, but now as things really are Christ has in fact been raised from the dead, and He became the first fruits, that is, the first to be resurrected with an incorruptible, immortal body, foreshadowing the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in death. What a Marvelous Light in Christ we have! That same light that shone bright out of the empty tomb shines bright today in the dead hearts of humanity bringing eternal life even now! As for us, we have this large crowd of witnesses around us. Let it encourage us to rid ourselves of everything that gets in the way of faith, and of the sin which holds on to us so tightly, and let us run with determination the race that lies before us. Jesus has prepared the way of salvation for us, let us be holy torches for those in darkness to follow. And don't be fearful being the first to shine a light. You are only following the example Jesus has left for us to finish. He is the First Fruits and we are to follow.
