Proverbs of a 39 yr old man

The Smirk. I see a poor soul laid out on the field of spiritual battle. Wrestling through the night and fighting till daybreak. Being pressed on every side by troubles but not crushed. Perplexed but not driven to despair. Hunted down but never abandoned by God. Gets knocked down but somehow not destroyed. Even after all that the poor soul has developed a humble smirk. And not in a sadistic way but in a victorious and merciful way. Able to survive any trial or tribulation because of the amount of grace that was given. Beaten to a pulp by the enemy but still with a smirk of a conqueror. You see through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies. Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be evident in our dying bodies. So walk by faith with a smirk as if humility has a swag. Having the confidence of your Heavenly Father because you are truly His by the blood of Christ. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are followers of Jesus. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven! Praise God! I see a joyous smirk coming out, yes even in the face of the adversity.
