Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
Prepare the way. Prepare the way of the LORD. I must decrease and He must increase. Yes, He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less. As I die daily to self, Christ is alive and seen in me more than ever! Jesus has come from above and is greater than anyone else. We are of the earth, and we speak of earthly things, but he has come from heaven and is greater than anyone else. Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven. And everyone will see hi, even those who pierced him. And all the nations of the world will mourn for him. Yes! Amen! I must prepare the way of the LORD. Go through! Go through the gates! Prepare a way for the people! Build up! Build up the highway! Clear away the stones! Raise a flag for the people! The LORD has sent this message to every land: “Tell the people of Israel, ‘Look, your Savior is coming. See, he brings his reward with him as he comes. Oh how narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it. For many are called, but few are chosen. Trust in the LORD Jesus always, for the LORD God is the eternal Rock.
He humbles the proud and brings down the arrogant city. He brings it down to the dust. The poor and oppressed trample it underfoot, and the needy walk all over it. But for those who are righteous, the way is not steep and rough. You are a God who does what is right, and you smooth out the path ahead of them. LORD, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws; our heart’s desire is to glorify your name.
