Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
The joy of laughter. There is laughter in pain. Laughter in praise. Laughter in sorrow. Laughter in folly.
Laughter brings joy in the many different seasons of our lives. It conceals a heavy heart even though grief is still there. Yes, laughter is silly. What good does it do to seek pleasure? Well hear me out, laughter is God given and the best laughter is the one that comes with humbled tears. Like Sarah when she heard that she would be pregnant at old age she said: God has brought me laughter. All who hear about this will laugh with me. The LORD knows how to bless people and adds no sorrow to it. He will once again fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy! He will fill your heart with more joy than when grain and new wine abound! There is a time to weep but there is a time to laugh. Oh what unexplainable great joy comes from weeping through the night because it bears a peaceable fruit of righteousness. Delayed hope makes one sick at heart, but a fulfilled longing is a tree of life. Its a pure joy that comes in the morning, where much laughter abounds and overflows with praises to Jesus for his great love! Listen to the virtues of a noble woman: When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. She knows the LORD is Sovereign, the One who rules in heaven laughs at the prideful kings of the earth. For he sees their day of judgment coming. Jesus said, I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! So rejoice that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed at the revelation of His glory. Cry today, laugh tomorrow. Better yet laugh today knowing you will cry tears of joy and laughter soon in the coming presence of Jesus Christ our LORD!
