Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
Too much pride will destroy you. The proud man will fall with a crash. He tries to make himself great. The proud man thinks that he is better than anyone else. He thinks that he deserves every luxury. But, in the end, he will lose everything. It is better to be humble and poor than to be proud and rich. To be proud is especially evil.
The LORD does not approve of this. He wants people to be humble, so that they can learn wisdom. He will punish the proud person. A proud man will fall down with a crash. God will force the man to be humble. Many people take Gods name in vain by taking pride in themselves giving truth without love. Better to give truth mixed in love than truth mixed with your own pride. One’s pride will bring him low, but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor. Be careful when you say this is a word from the LORD. Your pride may take away from Gods original intent and purpose of his word.
