Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
Be a lawyer. We are apart of the heavenly console, seated in heavenly places. The enemy likes to come and accuse the brethren. The law of God is just and holy. It is a lamp to guide our feet and a light for our path. We must keep our mind free from accusation because Jesus has given us that grace by his blood. The holy law judges us and sin is birthed in us. Yes, sin takes advantage of those commands and deceives us; it uses the commands to kill us. Praise God, The Holy Spirit is the lawyer of our hearts. He is our litigator. We claim the promises of God through the blood of Jesus. The law of sin and death being satisfied and removing our guilt and shame. We now live in the law of Spirit and life. The Spirit of Christ is our defender now against the accuser. The law was our tutor till Holy Spirit came. The Spirit of the law is transforming us and removing us from the Letter of the law that kills. We are ministers of a new covenant with better promises. I dare say even lawyers able to handle the word of God properly above reproach. Jesus is the Great Lawyer of Heaven and represents us in Heaven and Earth. He calls us also to defend broken and hurt people. To be Holy Spirit comfort to each other. We as lawyers of the word need discernment. We need the gifts of the Spirit. That is the only way we can give justice to the poor and the orphan; and uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute. The enemy wants us to be hypocrites of the word and show Gods word too burdensome. But Christ walked out the law of the word perfectly so that we could navigate the law in our hearts than in our own flesh. So, let us reason with the LORD. Lets learn his perfect law of love, his law of liberty with a new covenant. For if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it. For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but it is the doers of the law who will be declared righteous. Our identity is key to lawyer-ship. We are apart of the heavenly console and Jesus is our head lawyer against the sin and the enemies accusations. Teach us wisdom Jesus to speak against evil and the demonic. As a lawyer we put on the armor of God. Dressed in the light of God against darkness. If anyone could argue it would be you Jesus. But you were silent before your accusers. You did that so when you rose again you could defend even the uttermost. With a sword out of your mouth you are coming again with justice. Amen. Satan attacked Jesus identity. We do not want to speak out of false identity. As lawyers whispers there console to each other behind the bench so does Jesus through the Holy Spirit console us. Listen oh fellow believer: He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Be a lawyer. Be winsome. Always be closing.
