Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
Don't Flinch. You should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus. If you are dead to sin the devil cannot feed on you. He is like a roaring lion, sneaking around to find someone to attack, someone to devour. If we are submitted to God fully we are less likely to flinch and go back into sin. The enemy knows if he can get us just to hesitate, or just get a foothold on us. He can then get his guilty claws into your heart and mind entangling us in with our own devices of sin. Fools enjoy doing wrong, but anyone with good sense enjoys acting wisely. The fears of the wicked will be fulfilled; the hopes of the godly will be granted. When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation. Stay dead to the power of sin, stay down and be submitted to Gods will and purpose for your life which is to live for Christ. Say in your heart: Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for in you my soul takes refuge; in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge, till the storms of destruction pass by. Help me LORD not to even to flinch in sins direction but to be still and know that you LORD of my life. I can feel the hot breath of the devourer over me as he smells Christ's aroma on me. He passes over me having no appetite for the salted soul. No, he goes rather to that poor blood stained soul with the guilt of their sins all over them. He devours them one wicked desire at a time. Oh sinner call out to the Lamb of God who was slain before the foundation of the world. The devourer has bitten off more than he can chew with the blood of Jesus on his hands. Full judgment is coming for the devourer himself as the lamb of God has become the Lion of Judah. Call out to Jesus today for he saves his people from their sins! Hear his roar! He is coming as the enemy goes in seven ways with his tail between his legs.
