Proverbs of a 39 yr old man

God gives wealth to the person who pleases him. And that person's wealth will not cause them any trouble. That's what it means when Scripture says the blessing of the LORD makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it. Greedy people try to get rich quick but don’t realize they’re headed for poverty. A faithful person will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished. Think about this: If God gives wealth to a good person, then this is good news for everyone. By his kindness, God is good to the rich person, and their friends and neighbors. Everyone benefits, because this person will use their wealth wisely. They are generous. This wealthy person does not worry, because they trust God to protect them. But an evil persons wealth brings troubles. Everyone suffers because they use the money for their evil purposes. They wear themselves out to get rich, and are not wise enough to know when to quit. Don’t even eat a stingy person’s bread, and don’t desire their choice food. They are always thinking about how much it costs. “Eat and drink,” they say, but they don’t mean it. You will vomit up the little you have eaten and will have wasted your compliments. The principle is there; One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. People curse those who hoard their grain, but they bless the one who sells in time of need. The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god. They will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God their Savior.
