Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
Don't you know that your bodies are part of the body of Christ? Is it right for me to join part of the body of Christ to a prostitute? No, it isn't! Don't you know that a man who does that becomes part of her body? The Scriptures say, "The two of them will be like one person." Look at the language Paul is using with the Corinthians about sexual immorality. He references marriage where two become one in body and spirit. And what God has brought together let no one separate. Feel this as you read this: The person who is joined to the LORD is one spirit with Him. Wow! And think about this: True religion is to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. We are called to be pure and holy because the presence of God now lives in the repentant sinner! It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable and not in lustful passion. Hear the LORD say: So I will betroth you to Me forever; I will betroth you in righteousness and justice, in loving devotion and compassion. Jesus wants us to know God more deeper, to experience even more what Adam and Eve had in the garden. My goodness, listen to this in Revelation 14:4: These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they remained virgins. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among mankind and offered as first fruits to God and the Lamb. No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless. I say this with tears as I close this post today, God wants to know Him the way two virgins come to know each other intimately and holy. What sin did to our bodies and to our relationship with God and man, Jesus has restored 100 fold in the power of the Gospel. I pray that you truly come to know God in Christ at its highest climax. It will take eternity to know HIM. Marriage to the LAMB should be honored by all and the marriage bed of our lives be kept undefiled.
