Proverbs of a 40 yr old man
A Pastor's heart. A Shepherd is always walking the pastures looking after his own sheep. Caring for their needs and making sure they are safe and sound. There are also other Shepherds that have a strong passionate pastors heart. They go out away from the pastures and walk through mountains and valleys constantly looking for other sheep that are not there own. Many of them are all alone looking harassed and helpless like sheep without a shepherd. They are eating dry and scarce grass with no water nearby. They are lost sheep; their shepherds has led them astray, causing them to roam the mountains. They have wandered from mountain to hill; they have forgotten their resting place. These passionate Shepherds have no fear. They go save the sheep surrounded by wolves. The sheep stuck in a thicket on the edge of a mountain. The sheep stuck in miry clay and mud sinking to its death. Its a burning passion within to go seek and save the lost. They are in unrest just knowing one sheep is missing from the flock. Or one sheep lost in the valley that could be added to the flock daily to be saved. Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture!” declares the LORD. For they have destroyed and scattered the very ones they were expected to care for. A hired hand will run when he sees a wolf coming. He will abandon the sheep because they don’t belong to him and he isn’t their shepherd. And so the wolf attacks them and scatters the flock. Amen. So many sheep have been scattered and displaced in this world. But praise the LORD Jesus, the True Shepherd, that burns desire and passion in his shepherds heart to seek and save the lost. Hear Jesus say today, I have other sheep, too, that are not in this sheepfold. I must bring them also. They will listen to my voice, and there will be one flock with one shepherd. Amen. Jesus is the gate to life and eternal green pastures. Anyone who enters through Him will be be saved. Go, you with a pastor's heart and bring the sheep to the Shepherds of souls. This is our passion. To lead as sheep turned shepherds, the souls of men to our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ!
