Proverbs of a 40 yr. old man

Be ready. So many people are ripe to hear the Gospel and are ready to see what a real believer of Jesus Christ is like. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage people with good teaching. There are those that have been planted and are ready to be watered. The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So, pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields. Ask him to send you, for you have been preparing and are ready in season and out of season. Ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are. The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish for us the work of our hands, yes, establish the work of our hands! May your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God. In a large house some dishes are made of gold or silver, while others are made of wood or clay. Some of these are special, and others are not. This is also how it is with people. The ones who stop doing evil and make themselves pure will become special. Their lives will be holy and pleasing to their Master, and they will be able to do all kinds of good deeds. Let's be ready as pure gold dishes of faith and share the Gospel fresh daily from our hearts. There are some who are hungry and thirsty for meaning and purpose today. And we can lead them to the Sustainer of all things and Provider of all things, Jesus Christ our LORD.
