Proverbs of a 40 yr. old man
"The Word of God is like" series. The Word of God is a light. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple. Child of God, keep your Heavenly Father’s command and do not forsake Christ's teachings. Keep their words always in your heart. Tie them around your neck. When you walk, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you. For the commandments are a lamp, the teachings are a light, and correction and instruction are the way to life. Amen. Again, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” Amen, we so desperately need the Jesus the Living Word to give us light and understanding. Without Christ the Scriptures are incomplete. Jesus is the light for our darkened world. But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Jesus, you are the fountain of life and in your light we see light. Pour out your unfailing love on those who love you; give justice to those with honest hearts. Amen. The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned. Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.
