Proverbs of a 40 yr. old man
Unity for righteousness. People get together all the time for different reasons and purposes. Some to do evil or some just for pride and glory. But how beautiful to see people united for righteousness's sake. To united together in the name of Jesus and do the works prepared for us since before the foundations of the world. How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people, both now and forever. The wicked will not rule the land of the godly, for then the godly might be tempted to do wrong. O LORD, do good to those who are good, whose hearts are in tune with you. But banish those who turn to crooked ways, O LORD. Take them away with those who do evil. May Israel have peace! When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan. When the righteous triumph, there is great glory, but when the wicked rise, men hide themselves. When the righteous thrive, the city rejoices, and when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy. Amen. When the Body of Christ moves in unity righteousness shines throughout the nations and cities. If my own people will humbly pray and turn back to me and stop sinning, then I will answer them from heaven. I will forgive them and make their land fertile once again. Oh God, let your righteousness shine through our hearts and lives so that policies and laws may reflect your Will. I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts. My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness. But when grace is shown to the wicked, they do not learn righteousness; even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil and do not regard the majesty of the LORD. LORD, your hand is lifted high, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame; let the fire reserved for your enemies consume them. LORD, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us. LORD our God, other lords besides you have ruled over us, but your name alone do we honor. Amen. The LORD detests the way of the wicked, but He loves those who pursue righteousness. Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. Lets be united in Christ Jesus our LORD and practice Righteousness in unity with one another.
