Proverbs of a 40 yr old man

Promote a godly life. Learn and live out a sound doctrine that agrees with the sound instruction of our LORD Jesus Christ. Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward. Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. When we teach people about God, some people will listen. Other people refuse to listen. This is not our fault. Some people are ready to hear us, but other people are not. We should pray for them all. Sometimes, someone who refused our message will later accept it. Hearts are like different soils, some are harden by the cares of the world and some just not in the right season to receive. But as we share with others some seed may plant for God to have others water. Never let even a good God bless you or Jesus loves you go to waste. That may be what their hearts need for today.

Sometimes, many people must teach the Bible, before people believe it. Paul compared this to a plant, in the field. He wrote, ‘I sowed the seed. Another man called Apollos gave water to it. God made the seed grow. The person who sows is not important. The person who gives water is not important. Only God is important, because only God makes plants grow. Your godly life lived out in front of this world is a living epistle for all to read what Jesus is writing on your heart. Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it. Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own salvation and the salvation of those who hear you.
