Proverbs of a 40 yr old man.

Jesus spoke to Pilate saying: For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice. Amen. He is the Word become flesh and made His dwelling among us. He is the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. Just as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in Him having been rooted and being built up in Him, and being strengthened in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding with thanksgiving. Do not let any people lead you away from the truth about Christ. Their philosophy does not contain the truth. They teach false things. They depend on people’s traditions and the basic principles of this world. They do not depend on Christ. All God’s nature and all God’s power lives in Christ’s human body. As the Scriptures say, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.” That’s the way it was with us before Christ came. We were like children; we were slaves to the basic spiritual principles of this world. Since many are boasting in the way the world does, I too will boast in the LORD. So many these days are gladly putting up with foolish arguments since they are so wise now in this Spirit of the age. Putting up with when someone enslaves you, takes everything you have, takes advantage of you, takes control of everything, and slaps you in the face. So many people are enslaved with the things the Bible calls sin. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God. God has united believers with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin. Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the LORD.” This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, nor the strong man in his strength, nor the wealthy man in his riches. But let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD, who exercises loving devotion, justice and righteousness on the earth, for I delight in these things," declares the LORD.
