What does proper repentance look like? And how can we walk this out daily in honor of our LORD Jesus Christ?
The kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death. When God makes you feel sorry enough to turn to him and be saved, you don't have anything to feel bad about. But when this world makes you feel sorry, it can cause your death. So if we freely admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, Jesus is faithful and just, so true to His own nature and promises, that He will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness, all our wrongdoing, everything that is not in conformity with His will and purpose for our lives. Amen. Those who fail to repent and live in the constant cycle of sorrow and regret trample the blood of Jesus. if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. With repentance comes supernatural change that you cannot conjure up yourself. Many have the form of godliness but deny the power of Holy Spirit by how they live. There has to be a change in your life not caused by you but by the power of Christ living in you. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. We go from strength to strength, until each appears before God in Zion. The pure in heart will see God! Each day that passes is an opportunity to offer our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. This is our true and proper worship before a Holy God. And this is what proper repentance looks like in view of Gods mercy and what he has done for us on the Cross of Calvary. Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Change your inner self, your old way of thinking, regret of sins, live your life in a way that proves repentance; and seek God’s purpose for your life. For The Kingdom of God can’t be detected by visible signs. For the kingdom of God is within you. Praise God the rocks will cry out of they have to testify of the power of Christ changing hearts and lives!
