Proverbs of a 40 yr old man

You have the right to speak. But you must earn respect. A fool's lips walk into a fight, and his mouth invites a beating. The heart of the godly thinks carefully before speaking; but the mouth of the wicked overflows with evil words. That is why it makes a lot of sense to be a person of few words and to stay calm. Yes, the one who has knowledge uses words with restraint, and whoever has understanding is even-tempered. Wisdom is better than strength. Better to hear the quiet words of a wise person than the shouts of a foolish king. Amen. You have the right to speak openly and willingly. But have you earned the respect of a godly life before people? Nothing worse than a babbling hypocrite. Here is a good way to speak while still earning respect from people: Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good. They must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone. Better is a poor person who walks in his integrity than one who is crooked in speech and is a fool. Oh how the gracious words of the righteous are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body. To make an apt answer is a joy to a man, and a word in season, how good it is!
